Technical Data

Rogue River Stone has been tested by PSI in Portland OR., by Teco Corporation in Eugene OR. and by Marquess & Associates in Medford OR. Our stone meets or exceeds the requirements identified by the International Council of Building Officials Evaluation Service (ICBO) and the National Evaluation Service (NES). All test methods employed are published methods established either by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) or the Uniform Building Code (UBC).

Test results are as follows:

Compressive strength: 2000 + psi
Tensile strength: 272 psi
Flexural strength: 3.21 Mpa
Shear strength: 96 psi
Flammability: V-O classification. This is the most resistive classification identified by IJL 94 sec.8.
Durability: accelerated aging tests show no detectable change
Efflorescence: all samples tested showed no signs of efflorescence.
Absorption: 14%
Freeze Thaw: Exceeds ICBO requirements as defined in AC 51 Sec. 4F
Density: All test show 73 lb/ft 3 or better
